Founded in the early 1980s as a company specialized in servicing plastic injection moulding machines and in technical overhauls, Ripress evolved over time to fully earn recognition as a manufacturer of injection moulding machines for thermoplastics, operating both in the domestic market and in selected international markets, without ever forgetting its vocation for Technical Service.

Discover our history

1982

In Sesto San Giovanni, suburb of Milan, the company EOS was founded by the family Cozzi upon over three decades of experience about premium quality Customer Care Service for injection moulding machines.

First EOS, then Ripress took care of maintenance, service, troubleshooting and overhauling for a growing number of customers.

1987

EOS changes its company name: Ripress S.R.L. is established and immediately moves into a more modern and functional facility in Nova Milanese, at the crossroads of Milan’s ring roads and therefore in a more strategic location than the original headquarters.

1999

Ownership still Italian and family, but with a newer perspective, boosted the company Ripress into manufacturing and trading its own products.

2008

After some years of development made in cooperation with expert designers and engineers, the series IT was born: a technically optimized, friendly priced product, something – for the first time – “authentically Ripress” and “brand new”, whose instantaneous success was even exceeding the expectations.

In a short time the traditional business of overhauling – still maintained in respect for customers fond of updating their existing machines – falled behind the wave of requests for the “brand new Ripress machines”.

2009

Even at the height of the crisis in the plastics processing industry, Ripress continues its technical development, always based on dialogue with customers and on the courage to pursue new ideas under all circumstances.

Ripress is in fact the first manufacturer in Europe to install a hydraulic system based on servomotors and inverters.

The Servo-hydraulic series HES boosts the reputation of Ripress up to the elite-level of the premium brands.

2013

The all-electric series “Flower” was presented, to match the needs of high precision of the manufacturers of high-end technical parts.

2016

The end of the crisis leaves behind the need to offer the market a more differentiated and specialized product.

In Italy, both full-electric packaging IMM and low-cost solutions for moulders facing financial constraints and the credit squeeze are becoming increasingly widespread. Alongside the now celebrated HES series, which boasts a complete range from 60 to 1,300 tons, Ripress introduces a lower-cost version.

The opposite need, namely to offer both a specialized and high-performance product to the most demanding market, leads to a collaboration with a leading international company such as Dongshin, which, together with South Korea’s electronics companies, played a leading role in the development of the Asian country, a true protagonist of the decade. The collaboration takes shape through the development of a Ripress control platform inspired by European standards, installed on Dongshin’s extremely fast full-electric machines, for which Ripress becomes the exclusive distributor on the domestic market.

2017

Ripress doubles up the factory area, to match the growing demands for new machines and the raise of average tonnage sold: the adjacent estate is purchased and equipped for continuous production, in order to assure a punctual delivery to all new customers.

2023

Ripress becomes the official Italian distributor of “Topstar”, a leading brand in the production of auxiliaries for IMM and industrial automation.
